Here at Hwb we’re constantly updating our resources to help teachers deliver engaging lessons for their learners. Did you know that we now offer a range of bilingual resources to help deliver digital competence?
Following the launch of the Digital Competence Framework in September a wide variety of resources have been produced that cover all Strands and Elements of the Framework as well as more specific areas such as coding. The site also encourages practitioners to develop their digital competence by using bespoke tools such as Playlists to produce their own resources. These can then be shared with others in the Hwb Community.
Hwb also hosts the National Digital Learning Event every year, an important platform for practitioners to identify and share good digital practice taking place in schools and colleges across Wales. This year’s event focused on implementing the Framework. A digital marketplace was set up to cover all the themes and new resources were created by practitioners which are now hosted on Hwb.
You can also find Barefoot resources which help primary teachers to teach computational thinking with confidence. These free to use, creative resources illustrate how computing can be integrated into the primary curriculum in cross-curricular ways.
This is just a flavour of what Hwb has to offer and we are continuously sourcing and producing resources to support the implementation of digital competence. Visit the Digital competence area on Hwb today to view all these resources and more.
